The direction from which a player receives an attack will effect the amount of damage it does. This means there is a clear numeric advantage for players who manage to position themselves behind their opponents. This can either be achieve through unexpected or rapid movement, or through multiple allies (a surrounded target can only ever face one opponent, exposing their vulnerable sides to others).
General Bonus[]
- If the target is facing towards their attacker, there will be no bonus damage due to the attacker's position.
- Side attacks: If the target is struck at their side, there will be an extra +5% damage due to the attacker's position.
- Rear attacks: If the target is facing away from their attacker, there will be an extra +10% damage due to the attacker's position.
- The Backstab characteristic provides a direct bonus to rear attacks.
