"This little Gemlin is full of life and very boisterous. Since Granny Pal's not that young anymore, she gave it to you so that it could accompany you during your adventures."

When Equipped:

The Dot, also called Gemlin, is a small blob-shaped NPC which follows the player as a pet.

Just because they're see-through, it doesn't mean the Gemlin doesn't have anything between its ears. On the contrary! This strange little creature - half Blop, half Jelly - probably knows more about the flood than anyone...

On that extraordinary day, the Gemlins had front-row seats: when Ogrest's tears started to engulf the world, the Gemlins took it upon themselves to absorb the extra moisture. Working together, they started soaking and sponging and didn't let up for anything! By absorbing the flood waters, they filled themselves with memories which almost drowned in the Dofus Era.

From then on, the Gemlins took over the role of guiding the newcomers by sharing the knowledge they had filled themselves with.

The Dot is acquired by a quest during the first section of Incarnam.

When pets are healed, they do not gain XP. Healing items do not count as food either, so you always need to feed your pets after healing them (if you haven't fed them yet). You can feed them multiple healing items, until they're max health. Pets can be healed by feeding them:

A pet needs to be fed at least once every 72 hours. If 3 days pass without feeding, if you give it unsuited food or if you lose a battle, your pet loses 1 HP.

It eats:

Dot pet accessories:

In previous versions a Dot could be customized with various gems. These were obtained by completing achievements. There were two categories of gemligems. Only 1 can be equipped at a time.

Face Gems

Face gems change the facial features of the Dot. For a complete list of Face Gems, see Gemlin/Face Gem.

Skin Gems

The skin changes the mode of your Dot. For a complete list of Skin Gems, see Gemlin/Skin Gem.

The Dot used to be the only pet in the game, which was planned to be completely customizable with boost and cosmetic gems, however this idea was scrapped in the last month of beta.
