Baltazar is an ancient white dragon who has been watching over the Eliatrope children in the timeless dimension of Emrub for a long period of time that is yet unspecified, but could be upwards of nearly 10,000 years. He serves as both guardian and teacher. It has been hinted that he has a method to observe the world outside of Emrub and perhaps show the current, real-time events to the children as well. However, he does not appear to have the means to communicate with anyone outside of Emrub.
So long as Baltazar lives, his Eliatrope twin brother Glip cannot be reborn. It is unknown as to how long their shared Dofus must recharge Wakfu until they can be reborn once Baltazar dies and his soul & Wakfu return to their Dofus.
History[]
Pre-Primordial era[]
Baltazar was born along side his eliatrope twin Glip as demi-god sons of the Goddess Eliatrope and Great Dragon. They became the overseers of their people education and were members of the council that ruled over the eliatrope people.
The arrival of the mechasm and the Eliatrope-mechasm war[]
Baltazar would welcome the mechasms when they arrived in peace to stay on their homeworld on their galactic travels, but then the mechasms would suddenly attack them and start a devastating war which made their world uninhabitable. With the lose of his home, Baltazar was forced to escape with his people on the Zinit during the end stages of the war and they would spend centuries traveling from world the world searching for a new home.
Arrival on the pre inhabited world of twelve and the 2nd Eliatrope-mechasm war[]
Baltazar would be made appear of his brother Qiliby's betrayal and actions and he would be tasked with protecting the children of the eliatrope people in a dimension outside of time named Emrub until Yugo returns to restart their civilization one day.
Season 2[]
Baltazar would confront Qiliby when he arrived in Emrub with a young king Yugo, he would make a poor attempt to stop him but is revealed to have never had the heart of a warrior. After Qiliby is defeated he takes guardianship of Qiliby's dofus and the eliacube and sends Yugo home alone as he believes Yugo isn't ready for the responsibility of reviving the Eliatrope civilization.
The gathering of the dofus (Wakfu manga vol 4)[]
At some point Baltazar begins attacking the dofus temples of his siblings and gathering their dofus in humanoid form, using the eliacube to go in and out of Emrub, Baltazar uses the dofuses to revive his twin brother Glip from his dofus. He also imprisons all the eliatrope children in a state of unconsciousness in a massive tree powered by the eliacube as he had gone insane and paranoid from the prospect of the eliatrope people having to live side by side with other races that are full of hate and intolerance. Yugo and adamai arrive to investigate the eliatrope dofus disappearances, but the eliacube attacks them trying to imprison them as well, after shutting down to cube Baltazar attacks adamai and Yugo believing they are threatening baby Glip. The Brotherhood of the tofu arrive in Emrub to help but they can't convince Baltazar his wrong as he wishes to rebuild eliatrope civilization in Emrub where they are safe, but then the children break free from their unconscious state and praise Baltazar for saving them as the experience was horrible for them. Baltazar realizes he was wrong as that his advanced age clouds his mind too much now, but the children wish for him to continue caring for them and that they must one day return to the real world. Baltazar gives the eliatrope dofuses to Yugo and the brotherhood of the tofu warning them to not mess with their power as it could ruin the world.
Appearance[]
Within the Wakfu animated series, Baltazar is depicted as an extremely elderly dragon. While relatively calm, his skin is extremely beige-white colour, almost sickly looking, with distinct liver spots. His eyes have baggy, swollen red eyelids, while the pupils of his eyes glow with the light blue of Wakfu. His face has a number of deep wrinkles spreading from his lips, and he appears to be missing teeth. Compared to Grougaloragran and Phaerys, Baltazar has a large lower jaw, a jutting chin, a shorter/wider/squared face, and a prominent under-bite. A moderately long and messy white mane of white hair outlines his face, from the top of his head down to join with his beard. His short, thick, bushy eyebrows share the white color. A long feeler / whisker extends in an almost strait "S" curve up from above each of his nostrils.
When Baltazar's temper flares up, his skin rapidly turns red.
Compared to the other two adult dragons which have made appearances on the Wakfu series, (Grougaloragran and Phaerys), Baltazar has notably shorter and rather stubby horns and wings. His body as a whole seems relatively smaller as well. His dragon form is also very chubby and rounded, which combined with his stubby legs, makes him comedically inept physically. He appears to struggle with moving himself about, and relies on a flying pillow to move around comfortably.
While Grougaloragran and Phaerys could be described as being inspired by traditional European Dragons with serpentine features, Baltazar possesses more toad-like features.
Baltazar's Eliatrope twin brother, Glip, is described as being the shortest if the Firstborn Eliatropes. The brothers seem to share certain physical characteristics such as their notably/relatively short/small statures, rounder bodies, and bushy eyebrows.
Personality[]
Baltazar and his Eliatrope twin brother Glip are responsible for raising and teaching the Eliatrope children. While Glip primarily teaches Wakfung, the Eliatrope martial art of using Wakfu/Magic in combat, Baltazar seems to be more scholarly. When attempting to protect Yugo and the Eliatrope children in the timeless dimension of Emrub, Baltazar performs rather poorly even considering his old age which did not hinder the other senior dragons. Qilby mocks Baltazar, saying that he has never had the Heart of a Warrior, and that he should stick to reading his books. Despite his lack of combat prowess, Baltazar proves proficient in magical knowledge as he effortlessly uses the Eliacube to instantly send Yugo back to The World of Twelve from Emrub. At the same time, Baltazar assures Yugo that he and the children will join him on his adopted world when he (Yugo) has matured and is ready to lead his people.

Glip and Baltazar are twins sharing a Dofus. They are one of the 12 Firstborn Eliatrope-Dragon Twins whom possess immortality, on top of the naturally long lifespans of their races, as they will be reborn after a recharging period when both twins die.
The Eliatrope Council - Made of of the 12 Firstborn Eliatrope-Dragon Twins. These 6 Firstborns are direct bothers and sisters, sharing a Mother and Father in The Great Goddess and The Great Dragon respectively.
The Eliatrope Children of Emrub - Baltazar is the only adult figure present for the children of the timeless dimension, Emrub. He fills the roles of being their teacher, guardian figure, and protector, though his capabilities as a fighter are less than admirable.
Qilby - Baltazar and Qilby were born brothers and are two of the sons of the Eliatrope Goddess and her lover, in Season 2, Baltazar rebukes Qilby for showing himself to the Eliatrope children after causing the deaths of their parents as well as for the fact that he sold out his entire race and family to the Mechasms and when Qilby threatens to harm Baltazar’s adoptive children he quickly places himself in front of his pupils ready to protect them and says that Qilby betrayed his species after he hypocritically called out Yugo and was ready to fight with Qilby until he stomped on his head and Baltazar stated that Qilby could no longer trick anyone else once everyone found out who he really was. In the end, Baltazar doesn’t seem to show any sympathy for his older brother after Yugo trapped him in the Blank Dimension although it’s implied that he and Yugo both feel sorry for Qilby after what happened since they know that he was already driven insane by his perfect memory and already previously being stuck in the aforementioned dimension.
